The Human Rights Council is an integral part of the United Nations. It fights for strengthening and safeguarding the basic human rights of every individual; Rights such as Right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, etc. are constantly being violated either by terrorism or economic disputes all around the globe.
The Human Rights committee discusses the growing problems of the world and ponders upon ways to solve them. One such major issue is terrorism.

Terrorism basically arises from mentalities and stereotypes of many individuals which violate the most fundamental principles of equality amongst and freedom of all people. Terrorism has now created adverse living conditions all across the world especially in the Middle East countries; Syria, Iran, Saudi, Iraq being a few to name. There is a noticeable pattern of violence in these countries which has now provoked many citizens to leave their homes and migrate to the neighboring European countries for shelter which leads to another crisis of massive movement of refugees. More than a million migrants and refugees crossed into Europe in 2015, building up crisis as these countries struggle to cope with influx and creating division in the EU over how best to deal with resettling people.

The delegates in the Human Rights Council of DPSJMUN-2016 will contemplate on the problems people face in the most rudimentary aspects of life in such nations. They will exchange views regarding what could help to improvise the living conditions of these refugees in the Refugee Producing Nations. The participants will also discuss the various difficulties that the citizens of those nations to which the migrants migrate face. Wishing you all good luck and hope you would find these sessions fruitful and enjoyable as we endeavour to make them.
